At the Inn

Captain's Inn at Moss Landing has been awarded a historic preservation award by the Moss Landing Chamber of Commerce. Innkeepers Yohn and Melanie accepted the award from Vice President Donna. In 2007, the Monterey County Board of Supervisors gave the Gideons a Commendation for Preserving the Pacific Coast Steamship Company building.

Our very first international guests stayed with us in April 2003. From Sweden, Gerd, Sture, and Kenneth told us we had the best beds in America, and Sture added it was the best breakfast in America, too.

The Captain's Inn is in a perfect location for Laguna Seca, Mazda Raceway, Concourse Elegance, SuperBike, and many other car and motobike events. We welcome race goers and car clubs. Rally to the Captain's Inn with off street parking.

For the tenth year in a row, the Captain's Inn received a surprise inspection from the Monterey County Health Department. Not only were there NO violations found, but the reports include comments such as "Very Clean Facility!".

Captain's Inn at Moss Landing was awarded the Business of the Year for 2011. The award was granted for community involvement and support of the business community. Captain Yohn and Melanie were proud to receive this award.

Lanier Publishing recogized the Captain's Inn at Moss Landing for their "Most Attentive Staff" in 2012 citing Traveler voters with comments like "Best in the West" and "No where else comes close." We sure are proud to have award winning staff! |
