Sunset Magazine recently featured "Moss Landing: The tiny fishing town near Monterey lures with its own seafood and marine life." The Dec. 2007 issue states "...Nowhere is the cadence of sealife more fully celebrated...". When making it an overnight, Sunset's only choice was the Captain's Inn.
In California, National Geographic adventure magazine suggested taking an adventure with Elkhorn Slough Safari and to stay at this bed and breakfast. The October 2008 issue, "Bed down at the Captain's Inn at Moss Landing ... where rooms overlook the huge tidal slough."
Captain Yohn and Melanie were pleased to see a five page, full color feature on the Captain's Inn at Moss Landing and Elkhorn Slough Safari in "Sea" magazine, January 2007. About the inn: "How would you like to start your day with ... a waterfront view of one of the most beautiful bird-watching areas in the world? The cozy nautical themed bed and breakfast offers guests the chance to getaway." About the tour: "An excursion with the excited safari guide, who had just spotted a group of sea otters cruising the water inside the slough."
We were delighted to be featured in "Coastal Living Magazine" in their October 2003 issue! The article comments included: "Captain's Inn at Moss Landing offers maritime charm. Such nautical decor as portholes and gleaming redwood trimwork tastefully fill the bed and breakfast .... deep soaking tubs offer glorious views of nearby marshland. .... drift off to sleep in beds crafted from racing sailboats and old wooden fishing vessels."
The Elkhorn Slough was the focus for an article in Via magazine in spring 2004. The article described all the wonderful wildlife viewing possible here in our neighborhood such as sea otters and birds, and they declared "Moss Landing contains many delights!". When planning your trip, we were very pleased that Via reccommended "Sleeps" was the Captain's Inn.
