| | Peter
Greenberg with NBC's Today Show visited the Captain's Inn.
Peter and the crew went on Elkhorn Slough Safari to watch wildlife. We
served them sweet potato pancakes with bananas and cream, german
sausages, fresh fruit, and fresh baked pastries. They watched wildlife
and named the boathouse rooms their favorites. |
| Huell Howser of the PBS program
"California's Golden Coast" stayed at the Inn. Mr. Howser had a
great nights sleep "finest bed and pillows anywhere" and had seconds of
Grandma Martha's secret recipe kuchen. It was a pleasure to have Huell
and his camerman Cameron as our guests. Be sure to watch for the Inn on
the Elkhorn Slough segment, program #106. |

It was a pleasure for the Captain's Inn to host BBC television production crew and well known british birder Bill Oddie. BBC was here to produce a program on Elkhorn Slough. We are used to coming into our parlor to find guests spread out with a board game, but it was a bit different to find a floor covered with video, editing and camera gear - fun too! Watch for Elkhorn Slough on BBC's "Bill Oddie Goes Wild" in California.
