Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve
The Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve is a 1700-acre hub of activities and programs. Visitors can enjoy the five miles of trails that the center has to offer.

Marina State Beach is a popular place to fly a kite or use a radio controlled glider. Although water activities are not recommended because of the beaches strong current the sandy beaches are a great place to soak up the sun.
Seacliff is known for its fishing pier and concrete freighter called the SS Palo Alto. Although the ship is not safe and closed to the public the beach remains a popular swimming spot. It has a large stretch of sand and covered picnic tables.

The park is located at the foot of 17th street it is 4.4 acres of landscaped park. They have a large lawn area, beach volleyball court, sandy beaches, rocky outcrops, a concrete pier, a restaurant, and a snack bar.
